Review of Issue 5

ISSUE 5: Starts with a “Black and White” from World War 1, the Push and Go Boys from the 60th Signals. Rick starts his Ramblings. Rick is a History teacher from Bristol. What his pupils don’t know, is that he’s a biker. He reminisces about his time in a bike club in the early 1980’s. Rick is now a regular contributor, and we think we’ve finally sorted the format of the magazine and formed a team. Phixer goes to India and writes about it. Tech-tip-wise, there’s soldering and how to narrow an axle. Part 2 of Laser Cutting and Profiling.

Desperate and Perdix arrive in Bangkok to see how the Thai’s build, and eat the hottest curry in the world after spending the night in a brothel. Bikes….a very orange XS650, a very purple Bandit, and the Siberian Special. This bike is amazing. A Ural Chop built in Siberia by a young lad. Parts were so scarce he even made his own spanners!

Creature writes about the NABD, and another regular contributer arrives, Phil Wells (he of Philthy Phil’s “T”), with Flathead Meltdown.

Mrs Twang writes again with a history of the Wall of Death. Chinster’s VW trike’s in here.

Carwise, there’s Thunderpig, a fully street legal Dodgem, and a bit about the NSRA swapmeet, plus Crazy Odge writes about his old bangers. Desperate starts building his chopped 1947 Morris.
