Review of Issue 13

or

Volume 2 Issue 1

ISSUE 13:

Front cover is Ted Klatt’s tidy Royal Enfield, built during the freezing winter in Manitoba, Canada. You can expect more stuff from Ted and his mates. There’s a bit about when Desperate and Phixer went to meet the Teutels (Orange County Choppers). Did we take the piss? Actually, we didn’t. We also went to the Farmyard Party, and it’s reviewed in here.

There are trikes galore this issue, with Kevin’s radical VW…..Did I say VW? Actually, at first glance that’s what it looks like, but take a closer look at the motor. Kev fell in love with it after seeing it on a website and imported it from New Zealand! There’s Beefy’s V8, Desperate’s ongoing Indian Trike, and Dom’s Rat, complete with lucky Ju-Ju stone.

For a bit of oddball stuff, read about the history of the Black and Decker Workmate, or Funnymachine’s History of Moped Customising, and marvel at technical tips on how to do Trike handbrakes and fit four-way flashers.

Le Salvager is back, as are our regulars, Sooze and Rick the Rambler. This issue also sees the arrival of “Pyro” with the first of a two-part tale of Bikes, Birds and how to pull them (Birds, that is).

Carwise, phew, a pretty nice Red Woodie. All English, based on a Humber, and Steve Howl’s Mad Max Buggy will have you drooling.

Oops, nearly forgot the bikes. Howsabout a Harley Sportster powered by a Vee-Twin diesel engine, and variable belt drive? Mick’s tidy home-built GSX is in, and just check out the “Essex County Chopper”, a replica of Peter Fonda’s bike, but based on a DragStar. Another Harley’s sneaked in, unlike anything you’re likely to see again. “Seppster”. The Ice Bike. It’s also centrespread. There’s loads more, but you’ll have to buy a copy.
