Review of Issue 11

ISSUE 11: A bunch of “Cammo” Chops from the early 1980’s start this issue off. Actually, it’s a tale of a drunken weekend. The silliness that has become commonplace in Brit Chopper continues as Mrs Twang gives us a potted “History of Condoms”, and some mad Germans build a motorcycle outfit powered by a Russian T55 tank engine, a mere 620 horsepower V12 diesel. Weighing in at 4 tons, it seats 15.

Talking of silly, check out Rob’s “2 CV” Citroen trike, and Rick the Rambler talks about….bags.

There’s some “Proper” stuff too. A beautiful “Junak” Polish lowrider, a tasty XS1100, and a timewarp XS650. As for the cars, well, PantherShaun continues with his “Pop” build, only trouble being, there’s not actually much of it left after the gas-axe came out! There’s a feature on a place out in the boondocks that’s CRAMMED with 1930’s Rods, and a very strange Bedford Rascal van.

We all love trikes. The Editor takes the hacksaw to his immaculate Indian (Issue 7) and begins to trike it.

Tech features include how to make a nice clock for your workshop, and on a more practical note, how to build a sheet metal folder.

CENTRESPREAD: “The last V8”. Possibly the last V8 trike registered in the UK before the SVA came in. It was put on the road with 4 hours to spare.
