THE MAGAZINE FOR SERIOUS PETROLHEADS

Latest Issue Out Now!

Thanks for dropping in to the BRIT CHOPPER website. Never heard of us? We are a magazine aimed at serious home builders, started by three “builders of strange things”, Phixer, PantherShaun and Desperate, a few years ago, and the first issue hit the streets in late 2007. Building trikes, chops and rods was kids stuff compared to starting a publication, but somehow we muddled through and managed to get the first issue out. Some sceptics reckoned we wouldn’t reach issue two, but we’re now on issue twenty and getting quite good at this journalist lark.

So what will you find inside the 64 full colour A4 pages? Basically, anything with an engine in it, and as Petrolheads like everything that goes “Suck Squeeze Bang Blow” the contents include bikes, trikes, hotrods, dragsters and even in one issue, a day out on a traction engine. There have been bikes with car engines in, conventional chops, cars with tank engines in, fuel-burning dragsters, V8 trikes and even a bicycle (chopped and belt-driven).

Everyone who works on BRIT CHOPPER also builds their own stuff, as you’ll see in the “Staff Projects” features, and there are always several pages of handy tips, and a regular helpline. Don’t expect to see pages and pages of adverts or semi naked ladies, this magazine is about building. We encourage anyone having their machines featured to not only take their own pictures, but write their own stories, focussing as much as possible on their petrol-fuelled lifestyle, so if you’ve got something you’d like us to feature, email us and we’ll send you a fact sheet to help you do it. A lot of our readers comment on how much they enjoy the humour and style, and you’ll find a few names you may have heard of before, like Rico “Le Salvager” Daniels (Discovery Channel) and Crazy Odge to name but a few, who both send us some excellent features.

The magazine doesn’t end when you close the last page, because we have an excellent forum on this website, where you can follow member’s build-ups as they actually happen, as well as getting your technical problems solved by a bunch of extremely helpful people, many of whom are professional custom builders. A lot of close friendships have been formed on our forum, and we’ve had several BRIT CHOPPER parties as a result.

If you want to get yourself a copy or two of the magazine, you can buy them here, or drop in and see us at one of the many shows we attend.

So, welcome to BRIT CHOPPER LAND. Get yourself comfy, click the forum button, sign in, introduce yourself and pour yourself a beer, because there’s a lot going on inside and you might be here for quite a while.

Recently we have seen and increase in the number of Rodders joining the forum and we are really pleased to see them, this will add to the diversity of the magazine and forum and hopefully improve the experience for everyone, so if you haven’t been here before or even if you are a regular our message to you is Welcome, come on in, get comfortable and lets have some fun…..sod the recession….ride hard and live free

Well good old Chris has been at it again, he’s been mucking about in his shed working on his radical new builds. Just where he gets his inspiration from we just don’t know, have a peek at this video to see what he is up to and perhaps when you join us on the Brit Chopper 09 Tour you can ask him how he’s getting on?
